Running Time: 1hr 10mins

Last year we are brought 7 different productions to Venue 254, Palmerston Place Church - selling well over 1000 tickets - with a further 150 people buying our Fringe Pass. This year we are taking 8 productions up to Edinburgh, including a brand new show 'Holmes & Watson: Rathbone & Bruce (and a Hound).

If you would like to have free access to all the performances we are bringing to the 2026 Edinburgh Fringe, then buy our Fringe Pass for just £24. If you purchase tickets from the Fringe Box Office, individual tickets cost £15 (Concessions £13:50), so as soon as you've seen two shows your pass has paid for itself.

Once you've purchased, you will receive a confimation email, and all you need to do is bring that email with you to enjoy all the shows we are bringing to Venue 254. We specifically limit our sales at the Fringe Box Office to allow for at least 100 Fringe Pass holders at each of our performances - but if we ever did reach capacity - entry would be based on a first come, first served basis for Pass Holders.

Rev Awdry: The Thomas the Tank Engine Man

Rev Awdry - The Thomas the Tank Engine Man

A wonderfully funny tale of the clerical railway enthusiast who brought us Thomas and his friends.

A new fast-paced piece with music of the age and a story that keeps on track. The Reverend Awdry created stories for his son who was sick in bed, the result was some of the most endearing children's tales and characters of all time.

This new energetic production looks behind the trains at the man who brought them magically to life, on time, and still hugely popular.

"Deceptively sophisticated, interdisciplinary storytelling that entertains, informs and, like a fully functioning railway network, moves"

★★★★ - The Scotsman

Titanic: The Last Hero & The Last Coward

Titanic Poster

John Harper and Joseph Ismay. Passengers on the Titanic. A church minister and an executive of the White Star Line. One a hero, one a coward. Both have a story to tell.

That ill-fated crossing generated many tales of heroism and in amongst them, one or two more questionable endeavours. First-class and second-class passengers seldom came eye to eye, but as the ship slowly sunk and the panic for a lifeboat space began, these two men were cast together in a devastating drama.

"A heartfelt and moving tribute to the heroism of the common man, and that the heart of even the richest men can be opened and brought into the light"

★★★★ - British Theatre Guide

"I can hardly pay the author a higher compliment. My penultimate show at Fringe 2023 was an unexpected gem"

Eric Liddell: The Chariot of Fire

Set in Paris, during the Olympic Games of 1924, we see the struggles Eric Liddell faces around him in staying true to his principles. When given the chance to become the fastest man in the world, will his convictions buckle? Should he stay true to his beliefs? And can he bring home a medal for King and country?

This production, first toured in the UK in 2012, and has been performed in Canada, USA, Australia and New Zealand. It will tour throughout 2024 to mark the centenary of the Eric Liddell's achievements, with special performances in Paris and the Royal Albert Hall. To book the production, please email us.

C.S. Lewis' The Screwtape Letters

The most critically acclaimed production of C.S. Lewis' masterpiece is back! The Screwtape Letters is an award-winning satirical comedy that is now touring the UK for its 16th year. Nigel Forde's "sparkling script" and David Robinson's "impressive Screwtape" (The Stage) bring to life Lewis' classic book, which has sold millions of copies worldwide.

The story is set in Professor Screwtape's study in the timeless dominion of Hell. The play follows Screwtape's attempts to train his junior devils, including his protégé Wormwood, in the fine art of temptation. It remains faithful to the original text, characters and themes created by Lewis and holds three Edinburgh Fringe Sell-Out Show Awards.

"The performances are well honed, with Screwtape himself standing out as an embodiment of snide evil"

★★★★★ - British Theatre Guide

"Yes Minister in space indicates not only the vibe of 'The Screwtape Letters', but also its quality"

Return to the Hiding Place

The Hiding Place poster

A moving reimagining of Corrie Ten Boom's biographical tale of forgiveness and reconciliation in the shadows of WW2.

Her family bravely hide Jews in their small clock shop and the consequences were dark and devastating. The production looks not only at the story from Corrie's viewpoint, but from a German army officer's as well. How do they both regard their families, their faith, the Jewish people and the occupation of Holland? They begin in different worlds, but eventually come face to face with each other.

Wonderfully inspiring - and still very relevant for today - the production is indebted to the support and encouragement of  John & Elizabeth Sherrill.
